We fund local charities and community groups who work at the grassroots level, addressing issues such as child poverty, unemployment, social isolation and homelessness.
In the financial year 2017/2018 we awarded over £1 million to local causes, including 20 new groups. This total exceeded our target and was the highest total in any year of our history. Yet we remain determined to increase grant making year on year because we know that the need in Berkshire is increasing, not diminishing.
In 2018 we awarded over £250,000 to projects supporting local people with mental health issues. The video below provides an overview of the year long campaign.
In 2017 we awarded over £190,000 to groups fighting isolation and loneliness. In the video below we dropped in to catch up on the recipients to see how the money has changed lives.
