BCF is delighted to join forces with Brighter Berkshire – 2017 Year of Mental Health. Following the release of the recent Vital Signs report and the announcement that our 2017 focus is around mental health issues, we look forward to working with Brighter Berkshire to make a lasting difference. Together we will help to deliver a legacy fund for local mental health charities.
To celebrate this partnership, and provide more details of the exciting plans we have, we invite you to join us at our Reading event on Thursday 16th March 4pm-7pm. Together we will launch a number of exciting initiatives including the new logo designed by Reading College Students, Website, T-shirts, Awards process and more. We are pleased to announce Green Park is our sponsor for this event.
Brighter Berkshire is a community-led initiative with cross party support working towards making a strong, positive and lasting impact on the opportunities and support for the people of Berkshire who may have a range of mental health needs. This includes new mums suffering from post-natal depression, children needing increasing support around resilience and emotional development in schools, men over the age of 25 where suicide is the biggest cause of death, and those in later life suffering from mental health issues linked to loneliness, bereavement and dementia.
