BCF are Beaufort Financial’s chosen Reading-based charity of the year and they launched their support for the organisation with a charity quiz hosted for local business professionals back in May.
Teri and Jim talked through the types of charities that Beaufort Financial’s staff could get involved with and urged the team to get involved with charities that they personally are passionate about.
Volunteering is so important to the groups BCF works with. Volunteers can give groups assistance in a variety of different ways – supporting events, helping with back office functions such as social media, marketing and finance. Unfortunately some groups struggle with resources which is why volunteering is so vital for Berkshire.
“We are proud to be able to give something back to our local community and believe that our staff, clients and the people of Berkshire will all benefit from this experience. At Beaufort we don’t just talk, we act and make things happen.”
Mark Dolby, Director at Beaufort Financial
“Beaufort Financial are one of the first local businesses to get involved with BCF’s Business Philanthropy Club (BPC) Volunteering Scheme. We have recently introduced the scheme as part of our BPC membership, having recognised how important it is for local businesses to enable their staff to get involved in the local community, as it raises staff moral and helps local charities that BCF support.”
