Donor Reception
Individuals and families
Giving through a community foundation means that your charitable investment is in a safe pair of hands.  If you are considering giving something back locally, it’s worth reflecting on how to do so in a strategic way to ensure that your contributions really will make a difference.

We are uniquely positioned to be able to help you support the local causes you care about most in Berkshire, whether it is a specific issue or in a certain area of the county.  We help local people to manage their charitable giving and we work hard to make sure that supporters see for themselves the impact of their giving.

Giving you added reassurance

The number of charities doing great work and asking for help can be overwhelming.  Giving under our umbrella comes with the added reassurance that any causes we support have been approved by our independent grants panel, enabling you to focus on the things that matter most to you.  We will also ensure, wherever appropriate, that you benefit from any available match-funding or eligible Gift Aid, which will further boost the value of your charitable giving.

A bespoke service
Many of our supporters choose to channel their significant regular gifts through an allocated named fund as an alternative to setting up their own charity or trust fund.  Named funds have different types and sizes to suit amount of time donors want to spend on their giving and the preference they wish to express over which groups get support.

Other donors choose to join with like-minded others in supporting one of our themed funds.

We also have a uniquely flexible range of options for people interested in leaving a legacy to their local community.

You can be involved at the level that you wish. Whatever your personal circumstances, we believe our small and experienced team will be able to provide you with a giving solution that will meet your needs and interests.

    Jane Wates OBE
