We develop themed funds every year to strategically meet a need or tackle an issue in the community. Themed funds provide the opportunity to work in partnership with public sector partners and others in the private sector as well as supporting a cause within the community.

You can select a Fund which matches your own interests - a geographical area fund, or one supporting the elderly of Give A Child A Chance.  There are no minimum contributions and every penny counts. Our current themed funds are:

Berkshire Fund: donations to this Fund support grant making to a variety of community groups and projects across the County. This is the best way to support the Foundation’s grant making.

High Sheriff Grassroots Fund: donations to this fund will be used to make annual awards to groups working with young people (up to the age of 25) who are at risk of committing crime and anti-social behaviour.  The Fund will encourage young people to get involved with crime reduction activities and create safer communities and be used to recognise the work local people do to offer young people alternatives to crime.

Give a Child a Chance: donations to this Fund will help support disadvantaged children and /or those with special needs. We want to ensure that our young people get a better start in life. These are children who may struggle with homework in a new language or need help when peer pressure gets them into trouble. They may also be affected by bullying or crime or abuse. We also help children with disabilities and those caring for others.

Fund for the Elderly: donations to this Fund will be used to support groups who are supporting the elderly; these are tackling problems such as isolation, disability and loneliness as well as providing practical advice, support and leisure activities.

Online Giving:  Making a donation to the Foundation is a way of giving something back to the community where you live or work. You can give online now by making a one-off donation or by setting up a regular payment. See link.
