Congratulations to Ranelagh School who beat The Holt School in a fiercely fought final to take first place. Charters School took third. This clean sweep is all the more impressive because In the competition’s 24 year history Berkshire schools have previously only achieved one third place!
This event has run across the UK from 1994 to encourage students from non-fee-paying schools to improve their public speaking skills and to gain an insight into the legal system. The competition is part of the SmartLaw programme which aims to help young people to understand the justice system and how it touches every aspect of life. Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) in partnership with the High Sheriff was proud to help fund Reading’s regional heat of the competition.
Congratulations to all those involved we are very proud of you all!
