English Provender Company Donates Chutney!

Berkshire-based English Provender Company has produced a limited edition chutney to commemorate the Royal Wedding, combining William Peach and Catherine Pear with Champagne, and packaged in a bespoke jar studded with Swarovski crystals.

Just two jars of the special chutney have been produced, hand-made at English Provender Company’s factory in Newbury. One will be delivered to the Palace as a gift for Prince William and Kate Middleton, while the other is being auctioned on eBay with proceeds going to Berkshire Community Foundation – one of the 26 charitable organisations that have been nominated by the couple for the wedding.

Grahame Wright, Marketing Director, English Provender Company said: “We couldn’t possibly let this historic occasion pass by without marking the event, particularly as we are situated in the Royal County of Berkshire and just a short drive away from Kate’s family home. And what better way for us to commemorate the Royal Wedding than by producing a celebratory product made from William’s and Kate’s fruity namesakes. The addition of Champagne means that the lucky auction winner can raise a spoon to toast the happy couple!

“Bidding for the limited edition jar starts at just 99p, so even if you haven’t received an invitation there’s still a chance to have a bite of the Royal Wedding.”
