OPAC received a grant of £1,600 to fund the continuation of weekly 45-minute sessions of Seated Yoga which they have been providing to members for over three years.Details
It gives members not only a sense of pride and increased selfesteem in realising what they can do but also the opportunity to find out how much they can do.
The demand for the services of Beat Routes has seen them expand what they offer. With funding from Berkshire Community Foundation, Beat Routes has recently set up an apprenticeship scheme to help six young people each year (two per term).
The apprentices gain key skills and experience through working alongside the workshop tutors. This training will help them find work and give them opportunities to move forward in their own lives. Beat Routes wants to increase the apprenticeship scheme, offer more places and set up and run intensive holiday courses.
