This award is in recognition of her many years working in the charity sector. In addition to being CEO of BCF since 2016 she has also been CEO of the award-winning Berkshire East & South Bucks Women’s Aid, now known as the Dash Charity. She took over leadership of the Slough-based charity in 2003 and transformed the charity in the 10 years she spent as CEO supporting women who were fleeing domestic violence. In 2011 she was recognised for her work when she received an OBE for her services to support local victims of domestic abuse.
“I felt absolutely honoured to be nominated for this award with my fellow nominees. To win was a huge surprise. I have a great team at BCF and thank them for their support.”
The national finals are on 12th July and we wish her the best of luck!
