A grant of £8,100 from Comic Relief in 2013 has enabled more visually impaired people to enjoy a programme of supported sporting activity.
Berkshire Vision, a Reading based charity, provides over 2,100 visually impaired people in Berkshire with the information and support they need to live independently and safely, so they can enjoy their lives and feel valued in their communities.
Berkshire Vision has introduced a wide range of sporting activities for children and young adults, and the organisation was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for 2014 in recognition of its work.
