This year’s event was held on Monday 14th October 2019 at the Green Park Conference Centre and sponsored by Green Park and Reading law firm, Blandy and Blandy.
Presentations covered a wealth of topics including Staying Positive in the Face of Uncertainty, Public Speaking – Hints and Tips, a Finance Update, a Legal Update and the announcement of the four Vital Signs prize draw winners. A thank you tribute was presented to BCF Vice President Lady Catherine Stevenson DL, who has hosted all 10 Symposium events since 2011. Lady Stevenson announced the new Symposium host for 2020, former Berkshire High Sheriff, Graham Barker DL.

Symposium delegates were presented with the new Vital Signs 2019 report, a community ‘health-check’ that identifies Berkshire’s hidden needs and priorities. The report explores issues for people of all ages, giving and receiving care and wider factors we care about that underpin wellbeing for people in Berkshire.
Three winners of the prize draw, out of 265 entries, each won a £1,000 grant to a cause or causes of their choice. The winners nominated the following organisations to receive grants:
- First Days
- The DASH Charity
- The Wayz
- Windsor Homeless Project
