BCF supporters Blandy & Blandy Solicitors are holding their annual Mock Employment Tribunal

BCF supporters Blandy & Blandy Solicitors are holding their annual Mock Employment Tribunal on 3rd March 2016.

Personality clashes or irreconcilable differences between work colleagues can be highly disruptive to a business, negatively impacting on morale and resulting in good staff leaving if the situation is not managed effectively. Often the unsatisfactory behaviour of a challenging employee is difficult to pin-point and does not fall neatly into a particular category of ‘misconduct’ or ‘incapability’, making undesirable situations difficult to resolve and allowing problems to escalate.

The Mock Employment Tribunal case this year will involve a difficult personality, the circumstances leading up to that employee’s dismissal and the consequences which flow from this. Specifically, will the employee succeed in her claim of unfair dismissal or will the employer succeed in avoiding liability?

Who should attend?

Whilst the event is aimed at business owners, directors, HR professionals and other senior managers, line managers who are ‘at the coal face’ and managing staff on a daily basis will also benefit from attending (not least to gain an insight into how their actions can expose their employer to the risk of Tribunal proceedings). Other guests with an active interest are also welcome to attend.

Date: Thursday 3 March 2016
Time: 9.30am – 1.00pm (Registration from 9.00am)
Venue: Reading Borough Council Civic Offices, Bridge Street, RG1 2LU
