ABOUT JON

Having spent over 20 years working in accountancy I came to a decision a few years ago that what I really wanted to do when I grew up was to use what skills I had to help people.  So I have been lucky to have spent the last 11 years working for Community Foundations in Wiltshire, Dorset and now Berkshire helping local people and businesses target their philanthropy to those most in need in our local communities.  I love to engage people in what Community Foundations are able to do and to discover the relevance of this to them and in so doing generate resources to alleviate social injustice.  As vocational as that is I do allow myself time to be ignored by my teenage children, to coach junior Rugby and to be, as many people are, a frustrated writer.
